Dear pet owner and animal lover,
I know that you want to find an excellent team to help your best friend recover and be back to a happy life.
I always feel privileged to receive your trust and always take the challenge very seriously. I am committed to provide high level and compassionate surgical services to you and your pets in a professional and friendly manner. I am looking forward to be entrusted into the care of your precious ones who provide unconditional love to you and your families.
After receiving my veterinary degree, and a one-year internship, I completed a three-year small animal surgical residency-training program before successfully taking the ACVS board exams in 2002. I am therefore a specialist in small animal surgery certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). Sometimes we also use the term Diplomate of the ACVS, or simply DACVS.
In 2012 after serving you and your Chicagoland furry friend's for many years at a very well-known veterinary referral center in the northwest suburbs, time had come to put an end to this productive chapter in my veterinary surgical career.
One year later my skill set and commitment to success is once again an option for your pets in the Chicagoland area. I have become a traveling surgeon, and I am now performing specialized orthopedic, abdominal, thoracic, neurological and other soft tissue procedures at your family veterinarian's hospital, where we work together as a team.
As a professional, I also stay current on veterinary literature. I recently received training for an elbow replacement procedure (CUE), and conclude that I am at a good place in my surgical career considering experience, knowledge, and health. I obtained the TPLO certification in 2003, and have been involved in Total Hip Replacement surgery on a weekly basis for 20+ years, including cementless THRs since 2003.
The subjects I have presented or written on, include cruciate ligament repair/stifle surgery (TPLOs, TTAs, TightRope repair, etc.), non-union fractures, Total Hip Replacement (THR), Juvenile Pubic Symphysiodesis (JPS), Triple Pelvic Osteotomy (TPO), Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), abdominal surgery/peritonitis, pelvic fractures, spinal fractures, hip luxations, axial limb deformities (radius-curvus, pes varus), ITAP prosthesis, etc. Those are some of my favorites, and I perform procedures in all fields of veterinary surgery.
To serve you better I have acquired an extensive inventory of quality surgical equipment and supplies. When I perform surgery I like to be proactive and prepared for the unexpected. It is a best friend's life, better be safe than sorry.
Together, we can help your best friend,
Best regards,
Bernard Paré
